Sanford, Fla. -- Earlier today, the Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team wrapped up their opening tournament of the season at the Seminole State Warm-Up. The 'Fish finished in fourth place and had three golfers finish in the top 20.
Freshman
Skye Bruen led the way for the Sailfish in this tournament. She got off to a rough start in the first round, shooting +13. She battled back in the second round, shooting +4 and earning a tie for 16th place.
Celia Schrecker finished in 16th place along with Bruen, shooting +17 for the tournament. Ayami Takahashi from Seminole State came away as the individual winner. Finishing the tournament with a score of +3. Seminole State would also earn the overall team victory, with three of their golfers finishing in the top five.
For the Sailfish,
Nina Gudgeon finished in a tie for 20th with a score of +20.
Jade Staudt finished in a tie for 22nd place with a score of +21, and
Annika Miller finsihed in 25th place with a score of +26.
Mackenzie McCormack played as an individual for the tournament. She finished in 24th with an overall tournament score of +22.
PBA will hit the course again on Oct. 3 for the Golfweek Invitational.
