WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team fell short at the Seahawk Shootout with a sixth-place finish. Freshman Abby Smith led the way for PBA with a 16th-place finish.  

Abby Smith, a freshman playing in her first collegiate tournament, started the tournament off with an eagle on the par five tenth hole at the PGA National Championship course. Smith finished at +18 for the tournament (74, 77, 83) and led the way for PBA in 16th place.  

Jaycee Jenkins came in with a +21 finish (77, 80, 80), which was good enough for 28th place. Closely behind her was Nina Gudgeon who shot +22 (75, 79, 84) over the 54-hole tournament. 

Annika Miller finished in 40th place with a final score of +24 (79, 83, 78). Rounding out the Sailfish lineup was Celia Schrecker who finished with a score of +29 (74, 79, 92) for 51st place. 

Cara Hilburn, playing as an individual, also shot +29 (81, 80, 84) for a 51st place finish. Lily Butler (+33, 82, 82, 85) and Ashley Tarkanian (WD) also competed as individuals during the tournament.  

The Sailfish return to the links next week when the Sailfish head up to St. Petersburg to take on the Eckerd Invitational.
