WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic athletic department added two new members to their athletic training staff today, hiring former Sailfish student athletes Zack Figura and Jessica Nodell to be Assistant Athletic Trainers.

Figura came to PBA in 2017 and was a member of the Sailfish men's lacrosse team. During his playing career, Figura started 40 of the 47 games he played, scoring 57 goals and recording 20 assists. He graduated with a degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Exercise Science. Figura was named three times to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and named to the President's List for having a perfect 4.0 GPA in his final semester. He has work experience at the JFK Medical Center, and as an athletic trainer for the Florida Atlantic football team and numerous PBA teams during his time with the Sailfish.

Nodell also came to PBA as a student in 2017 where she was a member of the women's basketball team for two years before transitioning to the Sailfish beach volleyball team. She finished with a combined 19-15 record in her two years on the sand and was named to the Provost List four times, graduating with a degree in Athletic Training. Nodell assisted the athletic training team with multiple PBA sports and as a Covid tester while a student. She also worked as a freelance in-home trainer where she built workout and recovery plans to help patients' rehab progress.

The two additions take the PBA athletic training staff to five total members now, led by Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Student-Athlete Wellness Michelle Menard, as well as Associate Head Athletic Trainer Sean Cunningham and Assistant Athletic Trainer Tenecia Francis.
