DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – PBA women's track had a successful afternoon racing at the ERAU Blue and Gold Invite hosted by Embry-Riddle on Saturday afternoon.
The Sailfish were paced by Hannah Caldwell in the 5K as the grad transfer turned in a time of 18:39, finishing 11 seconds ahead of teammate Allison Seng who took second. The 'Fish placed four others in the top-9 with Emma Baron, Katie Kanagy, Emily Powers and Christin Sustar all finding top-10 finishes.
Dune Costes turned in two top-10 finishes, taking 5th in the 1500 meters race with a time of 5:01 and also placing 7th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:33. Abigail Bateman took 9th in the 1500 while Kaelyn Lakey was 5th in the 200 meters with a time of 30.33 to round out the top-10 finishers.
The Sailfish will take a week off from racing before returning to Embry-Riddle on April 3.
