TAMPA, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's track wrapped up a late night at the UT Track Classic on Friday evening.
The event finished close to midnight as several runners set personal best times at the meet. Hanna Brook Gibbons was the lone competitor for the 'Fish in the 800-meter race and turned in a personal best time of 2:41.34, three seconds faster than the season opening meet.
Cami Rickenbach just missed out on personal best time in the 5000 meters, crossing the line in 18:28.89 to take 13th in the field of 55. Avery Knehans (20:32.82) and Christin Sustar (19:28.89) both turned in personal best performances in the race with Allison Seng (19:48.63) and Sara Nolan (20:51.18) racing in the event for the first time at the collegiate level.
Elise Combs was also able to turn in a personal best time in her lone race on the evening, clocking in at 5:20.13 in the 1500-meter race. Dune Costes (5th) and Desi Van Emmerik (8th) were the top finishers for the Sailfish on the evening in the 800-meter race.
The 'Fish will have an extended break before returning to action on Tuesday, March 10 at the Bobcat/Sharks Relays held at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Fla.
