WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic softball dropped the weekend opener to Nova Southeastern on Friday night, falling by a 4-0 final score. PBA drops to 27-22 with the loss while NSU improves to 28-20.
The Sailfish recorded only three hits in the game as NSU tallied eight. The Sharks scored their first run in the third inning on a wild pitch, and added two unearned runs in the fifth and a fourth run in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead.
Magnolia West, Katherine Budnovich, and Alexis Guerra picked up the hits for the Sailfish on the night. Abbey Busby allowed just two earned runs in a complete-game effort but fell to 22-13 with the loss.
The Sailfish and Sharks will return to play with a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at noon. The Sailfish will honor their two seniors between games of the doubleheader.
