Chose PBA because she was given the opportunity to play softball and knew it was a school where she could receive a great education and be prepared for her future... Favorite team is the Tampa Bay Lightning... Favorite athlete is Ryan Callahan... Daughter of Michael Bertisch and Jennifer Gutman-Bertisch... Has one brother: Jeremy.
2019 (Senior)
Started in 49 games in her senior campaign all at third base… was named to the All-SSC First Team… hit .358 on the season with 53 hits and 18 RBI… got her 210th career hit this season which made her the all-time hits leader in PBA’s Division II era ... had five three-hit games on the season, and went 8-for-11 in a three-game sweep of Florida Southern College at home in April.
2018Â (Junior)
Was the starting third baseman for the Sailfish… Played 43 games in which she started 40 of them… Collected 52 hits and 17 RBI on the season… Hit .382 which was third highest on the team… Had the second most stolen bases on the team with 13 on 15 attempts… Her on base percentage of .482 was third best on the team… Had her best offensive game of the season against Nova Southeastern going 3-3 while scoring 2 runs in a 4-2 win.
2017 (Sophomore)
Continued to be the everyday face at third base for the Sailfish, starting in all but one game as a sophomore… was third on the team with a .297 average which included 43 hits on the year… increased her power numbers as she picked up three doubles on the year, all in separate games…  finished second on the team in stolen bases as she totaled 18 on the season… with 19 runs scored on the year she finished fourth on the team.
2016 (Freshman)
As a true freshman, Bertisch stepped right into the role of a starter, starting in all 49 games on the year. She also opened eyes all over with her bat, glove and speed, finishing third on the team with a .380 batting average while tying for the team-lead in hits with 62, including seven three-hit games…Slugged .399 on the year, fourth best on the team… Led the team in stolen bases with 17, picking up multiple stolen bases in three contests… Finished second on the team in runs scored with 34, and scored a season-high three runs at Florida Southern on March 26… Flashed the leather at the hot corner on the year, leading the team with 78 assists, including a season-high eight at Saint Leo on April 15.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended East Lake High School where she played middle infield and third base for the Eagles... Played under head coach Kristie Delk... Played in the Florida state All-Star game in 2015 after earning All County first-team, All Tampa Bay second-team and ELHS Offensive MVP as a senior... Was All County honorable mention as both a sophomore and junior, while also earning her team's Defensive MVP award in 2013... Was a member of the Honor Roll and Principals' List all four years of high school while also a member of the National Honor Society... Graduated Summa Cum Laude.
