The Sailfish were able to accumulate eight hits in the game. Those hits came from the top six hitters in the lineup along with Marcos Perez. Mike Santaromita was the eighth Sailfish to get a hit as he came in as a pinch hitter later in the game.
The two PBA runs came on a single up the middle by Brandon Smith to bring in Brandon Seltzer in the fourth. The other run for the 'Fish came in the eighth when Sean Houck scored on a wild pitch.
Game 2: Tampa 7, Palm Beach Atlantic 2
Game two was more of the same as the Spartan's offense exploded for three runs in the first inning and three more in the second. They would later add one final run in the fourth to put the score at 7-0.
The Sailfish got on the board in the sixth when Danny Tufariello hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield that allowed Derek Schwimer to score. Tufariello was responsible for driving in the other run as well when he singled through the left side of the infield which once again scored Schwimer.
The 'Fish had eight hits in the contest with Houck leading the way with his 4-4 night. Schwimer hit a double for one of his two hits on the game and Tufariello and Seltzer each had one hit as well.
The Sailfish will return to action next Thursday April 18 as they head to Lakeland to take on Florida Southern.
