MELBOURNE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf team placed seventh at the Panther Invitational on Tuesday which is hosted by Florida Tech. The Sailfish finished with a shooting 58 over with an overall score of 920. Barry University finished first overall followed by the host team Florida Tech.
Martin Westerlund had the low score for the 'Fish in the invitational shooting 228 over the three rounds giving him a score of +12 and finished tied for 20th. Westerlund shot his lowest round on the first day of the tournament as he shot a 74, just two over par. Diego Buttironi finished tied for 27th while shooting 231 and a score of +15.
The next lowest scorer for PBA was Ben Clarke who shot a 76 on day two and finished at 237 strokes for the tournament which put him at +21 and tied for 42nd. Finishing a few strokes behind was Henry Grillo who shot a +24 and finished 47th. Grant Horvat played his first two rounds but did not compete today.
The Sailfish will return to the course for the North Greenville Men's Invitational on Tuesday March 19th in Blythewood, S.C.
