DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Ty Fisher and Cami Rickenbach led the way for the Sailfish as the men's and women's track teams competed at the ERAU Spikes Classic on Friday night.

Fisher placed second in the 5K, missing out on first by just over a second. Fisher finished with a time of 15:25.86 which was just behind Hillary Kandi's time of 15:24.57. The Sailfish also saw Tim Koritz place sixth in the race with a time of 15:52.60. A school of 'Fish finished in the middle of the pack with Tyler Ketcham (16:17.76), Paul Breitbach (16:32.37), Cooper Labrant (16:33.46) and Jack Blyth (16:44.44) all finishing between 14th and 18th.

Rickenbach was the top finisher on the women's side, placing fifth in the 5K with a time of 19:04.79. Katie Kanagy (19:43.91) and Elise Combs (19:45.96) were also top-10 finishers taking ninth and 10th. Jessica Lykins and Christin Sustar placed 15th and 16th in the race.

In the 1500 meters Joshua Read led the men with a time of 4:22.52 while Hanna Brook Gibbons was the lone female Sailfish, turning in a time of 5:41.32. Dennarius Murphy competed in the 200-meter race with a time of 23.53. Jon Paul Ogle and Jared Yamada competed in the javelin throw with Ogle taking 17th with a throw of 37.95 meters and Yamada making a long toss of 31.40 meters.

The Sailfish are scheduled to race again at the UNF Invitational on April 5.
