Track Competes In USF Bulls Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic track competed at the Bulls Invitational this weekend hosted by University of South Florida. The Sailfish competed in a multitude of events throughout the event.

In women's shot put the leader for the Sailfish was Jenna Ogle who recorded a distance of 7.22 m. Abigail Slater also recorded a distance of 5.45 m. On the men's side Simari Turner had a distance of 8.73 m. and Andrew Rooney had 8.51 m.

In the 1500 both men and women saw some good results. For the women, Cami Rickenbach came in at 5:11 (24th) and Katie Kanagy followed closely behind at 5:20 (33rd). Elise Combs was the third Sailfish over the finish line with a time of 5:23 (38th). On the men's side the top three finishers were Ty Fisher with a time of 4:12 (22nd), Tim Koritz with a time of 4:13 (23rd), and Tyler Ketcham with a time of 4:18 (29th).

The 400 dash saw Crystal Agumagu finish at 1:05 (25th) while Maddie McCarty came in milliseconds later at 1:05 (28th). The men had Luis Quintero finish at :52 (17th) and Denny Murphy finish at :53 (18th).  

In the 800 event Avery Knehans as the first Sailfish to finish at 2:39 (34th) followed by Hannah Brook Gibbons at 2:47 (39th). The men's leader was Joshua Read at 2:05 (32nd) followed just behind by Jack Blyth who also finished at 2:05 (33rd).

The men's 200 dash had Jared Yamada at :25 (40th) and Raphael Campos at :26 (41st).

The men's 1600 relay team finished with a time of 3:36 to give them the 11th place finish.

PBA will be back in action on Friday March 29 and 30 as they head to Daytona Beach, Fla. to take part in the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic.
