CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic track competed at the Hurricane Invitational this weekend, which was hosted by the University of Miami. The teams ran the 5K on Friday night, and competed in a variety of events on Saturday afternoon.
Cami Rickenbach led the 'Fish in the 5K on Friday with a time of 19:46.21. Katie Kanagy was not far behind as she finished at 19:59.53. On the men's side Ty Fisher posted an impressive time of 15:39.61 to finish in fourth overall out of over 40 runners in the 5K.
Jon Paul Ogle finished eighth in the javelin throw with a distance of 44.58 meters.
In the women's 800 meter run, Hanna Brook Gibbons led the way with a time of 2:44.52 on the day, while Joshua Read led the men with a time of 2:06.60.
Crystal Agumagu ran a 28.10 in the women's 200-meter dash on the day, while Luis Quintero ran a 24.23 to lead the men.
In the 1500, Kanagy once again led the way while Avery Knehans and Jessica Lykins were just a couple spots behind. On the men's side, Fisher posted a top-20 finish with a time of 4:15.56 while Tim Koritz finished in the top-20 as well.
PBA will be back in action on Friday, March 22 as they will head to Tampa, Fla. to take part in the USF Bulls Invitational.
