TAMPA, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf finished sixth at the Griffin Invitational this week, as the 'Fish shot rounds of 317, 292, and 300 at TPC Tampa Bay.  The Sailfish finished ahead of No.1 ranked West Florida by seven shots on the week, and finished behind several other nationally-ranked teams including Nova Southeastern, Saint Leo, and Cal State-Monterey Bay.

Monday was quite an up-and-down day for the Sailfish, as they opened up with a round of 317, which was the second-worst round of any team in the field.  After the tough morning session however, the 'Fish came back with a 292, which was the lowest round of the day by any school. 

The Sailfish were led in the second round by Brady Godwin, who had the low round of the tournament with a three-under par 68.  Martin Westerlund shot a two-over round of 73, and Diego Buttironi shot 74, which matched his opening round score. 

In the final round of the tournament on Tuesday, Buttironi led the way with a 73, as he led the Sailfish in scoring for the week.  Westerlund shot 74 on the day while Godwin finished with a 76 which included five birdies.  Alex Wilson shot 77 on Tuesday while Grant Horvat shot 79 to round out the scoring. 

The Sailfish will be back in action on Oct. 8-9 as they will compete in the GolfRank Invitational at PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
