ST. LEO, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis took on the No. 1 ranked Lions from Saint Leo on Saturday, dropping the match 8-1.
The Sailfish were limited to just a win at No. 2 doubles as Philipp Hoffmann and Bernardo Ferreira took down Francisco Aparicio and Aurel Ciocanu 8-5. Rodolfo Hasegawa and Thomas Salmon battled tough at No. 3 doubles but fell to Jaime Bueno and Willem van der Akker 9-7.
In singles play the 'Fish were held without a set win. Carlos Niemeyer and Miguel Paz had the best showing at No. 5 and 6 with both players losing by identical 6-4, 6-2 scores.
The 'Fish end the regular season on Sunday at 1 p.m. as they host Embry-Riddle at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
