FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis lost a road contest with Nova Southeastern on Wednesday evening, losing 6-3 to the Sharks.
NSU took all three doubles matches with No. 2 and 3 finishing with the identical 8-5 score. The Sharks won No. 1 doubles 8-3.
In singles play the 'Fish picked up wins at No. 2, 5 and 6. Bella Mermersky picked up the win at No. 2, defeating Andrea Ivanovic in straight sets, 7-6 (3), 6-1. Michaela Mignemi won at No. 5, taking down Isabella Lowrey 6-2, 6-4 with Romina Bolagay getting credit with a win at No. 6.
The Sailfish are back in action on Thursday as they head to No. 1 Barry for a 3 p.m. match.
