HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis concluded their week with their fourth straight victory, defeating Tusculum 5-4 to close out their time in South Carolina.
The 'Fish swept doubles play with all three matches finishing with the identical 8-3 score. Pato Zarazua and Pietro de Silva were the winners at No. 1 with Philipp Hoffmann and Bernardo Ferreira winning at No. 2. In the third slot were Rodolfo Hasegawa and Thomas Salmon who picked up the victory.
In singles play PBA got wins from both Zarazua and de Silva. Zarazua cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 1 over Tomas Kmetko while de Silva fought off Tashique Kader at No. 4, 7-5, 7-5. Hasegawa and Salmon each pushed their matches to three sets but ultimately came up short.
The Sailfish won't have much time off as they host Bluefield State on Monday at 3 p.m. at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
