WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis came up short in a bid for their second straight SSC win, falling to Florida Tech 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
The 'Fish picked up their lone doubles win at No. 3 as Romina Bolagay and Michaela Mignemi defeated Caroline Walter and Dina Dragoljic 8-4. The Panthers were able to take the other two doubles matches 8-2 and 8-4.
In singles play PBA's Yuliia Russu and Johanna Kern were able to pick up wins. Russu defeated Erin Egoroff 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 while Kern battled back to defeat Paloma Vela. Vela took the opening set 7-5 before Kern bounced back to take the second set 6-0 and a tight third set 6-4.
The Sailfish are back in action on Friday at 1 p.m. as they take on Florida Southern.
