WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis has won six of seven after a 7-2 victory over Southern New Hampshire on Friday.
The Sailfish (9-5) picked up two wins in doubles and took five of the six singles matches. Philipp Hoffmann and Rodolfo Hasegawa were winners in both singles and doubles as Hoffmann picked up a win at No. 2 doubles and No. 2 singles and Hasegawa was a winner at No. 3 doubles and No. 3 singles.
Hoffmann paired with Bernardo Ferreira in doubles play and picked up an 8-4 victory over Ricardo Marreiros and Miguel Marreiros. Hoffmann was matched up with Ricardo Marreiros in singles play and won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.
Hasegawa took down Miguel Marreiros in singles play, 6-3, 6-2 while also winning in doubles alongside Thomas Salmon, 8-1. Pietro de Silva and Carlos Niemeyer picked up straight sets victories in singles play with Niemeyer dropping just one game along the way. Pato Zarazua came back after dropping the first set at No. 1 singles to win 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 over Tiago Fernandes.
The Sailfish will open Sunshine State Conference play on Sunday morning as they travel to Lynn to take on the No. 3 Fighting Knights at 10 a.m.
