WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis wasn't able to match up with NCAA Division I LIU Brooklyn on Tuesday, falling 8-1 to the Blakckbirds.
The Sailfish (7-7) were able to pick up their lone win at No. 6 singles as Michaela Mignemi fought off an ankle injury during the match to defeat Clemence Krug 6-3, 6-2 to improve to 8-3 on the season. Mignemi is the team leader in singles wins this season.
PBA was shutout the rest of the way but had their best showing at No. 3 singles as Taylor Conti was able to win four games in each set against Sasha Bollweg. In doubles the 'Fish were limited, losing 8-4 at both the No. 1 spot and No. 3 spot and losing 8-2 at No. 2.
PBA is back in action on Thursday as they make the short trip to Lynn to take on the No. 1 ranked Fighting Knights at 3 p.m.
