PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf had an impressive showing this week at the NSU Shark Invitational, as the Sailfish finished 6th out of 16 teams and finished ahead of three nationally-ranked teams. Saint Leo University edged out Florida Tech for the victory at the Champions Course at PGA National Golf Club.
Martin Westerlund turned in another impressive showing for the Sailfish, as he shot rounds of 75, 74, and 72 on the week and posted a top-10 finish in the tough field. Grant Horvat had a rough start to the tournament with a first-round 83, but shot a combined 1-under par in the final two rounds with a 71 and a 72.
Alex Wilson had a solid tournament, as he finished with rounds of 77, 74, and 79. Diego Buttironi (80-78-77, 236) and Brady Godwin (81-82-83, 246) rounded out the scoring for the Sailfish team, who finished ahead of No. 8 Carson-Newman, No. 11 Indianapolis, and No. 22 Valdosta State for the week.
The Sailfish will return to play on Oct. 22-23 in Miami, Fla. at the Miami Intercollegiate Tournament.
