ORLANDO, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's cross country turned in a top-10 finish at the Disney Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning.
The Sailfish were again led by freshman
Ty Fisher who placed 32nd overall with a time of 27:57 on the 8K course. Fisher has been the team's top runner in three of the four races this season. He was followed by
Mike Smith who has been number one or two for the 'Fish in each race this year. Smith turned in a time of 28:27 and placed 51st..
James Ngandu from Tiffin University was the top runner of the meet with a time of 24:21. Tiffin finished second in the non-D1 category behind Wingate. Stetson was the top D1 team in the meet.
Joshua Read was the third finisher for PBA with a time of 29:54, placing 83rd in the field of 158.
Carlos Meneses (33:06) and
Jared Yamada (34:03) were the other scorers in the meet for the 'Fish.
PBA will have two weeks off before competing at the Sunshine State Conference Meet for the first time. This year's meet will take place at the South County Fairgrounds in Boca Raton on Oct. 21.
