Box Score CLEVELAND, Ga.- Heading north for the first of two matches this weekend, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s soccer team got things off to a good start on Friday afternoon with a 2-0 shutout victory over North Greenville University. Playing on the campus of Truett McConnell College for a neutral site match, the Fish tallied goals in both halves to earn their second straight shutout victory.
Junior Angie Kuhn continued her good work from earlier in the week with her second-straight match with a game-winning goal as she found the back of the net in the first-half. Freshman Meagan Phillips of Tomball, Texas earned the squad’s second goal of the match in the second-half. The Phillips score was the first of her collegiate career as a true freshman.
Senior goalkeeper Ashley Morrell posted her second straight shutout in goal after earning the victory earlier this week against Eckerd College in a 1-0 overtime victory. PBA now improves to 6-8-1 on the season with tomorrow’s regular season finale remaining.
PBA will take on Truett McConnell on Saturday, November 7th for a 4 p.m. showdown in Cleveland.
