Box Score St. Petersburg, Fla.- After a tournament-opening win against Puerto Rico-Bayamon on Friday afternoon, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women's volleyball team got back into action on Saturday afternoon when they squared off against East Stroudsburg University in the Eckerd College Tournament.
Once again blessed with the strong play of their outside-hitters, the Sailfish stormed out of the gate and used that momentum to take down ESU in three straight games and earn the match victory.
"We came out fast, and I really saw great energy out of the girls today," said head coach Nicole Carter. "I was also able to see some of our younger players in the third game which helps us not only for the future but also the present as we hope to utilize our bench throughout the season," said Carter.
PBA wraps up the Eckerd College tournament by facing off against the host school, Eckerd College with a 7:00 p.m. showdown. The Tritons have also gone undefeated in tournament play.
