PERSONAL
Born March 2, 1996... Majoring in Communications with a minor in Education... Aspires to either work in sports broadcasting or become a teacher and coach... Chose PBA to further deepen her relationship with Christ and others. She also loved the community and the great volleyball program... Favorite verse is Proverbs 16:9... Favorite team is the Florida State Seminoles... Favorite athlete is Misty May-Treanor... Daughter of Charles and Mae Beth Ragland... Has four siblings: Matt, Neil, Laura and Mark.
2017 (Senior)
Played in 24 matches on the season while missing some time due to injury … accumulated 175 kills on the year, and totaled 2.06 kills per set while hitting .319 … had a season-high 13 kills and no errors in just 21 swings and also added nine blocks against Eckerd College in a five-set victory … finished the season with 110 total blocks and her PBA career with 625 blocks … had double-digit kills five times on the season … named to the All-SSC First Team … named AVCA All-American Honorable Mention … named to D2CCA and AVCA All South Region First Team.
2016 (Junior)
The only player on the team to play in and start all 36 matches and 131 sets…finished as the NCAA Division II leader in blocks per set (1.68) and total blocks (220)…had four matches where she reached double-digits in blocks…posted a season-high 15 against Lynn (9/15)…had nine blocks in the NCAA semifinals against Alaska Anchorage (12/9)…finished second on the team with 337 kills and led the team with a .332 attack percentage…had 18 double-digit kill matches including a season-high 18 at Embry-Riddle (9/30)…went over the 500 block mark for her career…became just the second player in PBA volleyball history selected to the AVCA 1st Team All-American listing…also named to the All-American 2nd Team by the D2CCA…named AVCA All-South Region and D2CCA All-South Region 1st Team…selected to the Division II South Region All-Tournament Team.
2015 (Sophomore)
Started and played in all 36 matches and 129 sets, only player on the team to do that…led NCAA D2 in total blocks with 193…finished 2nd in D2 in blocks per set at 1.50…recorded 21 matches with five or more blocks, and twice reached double digits…had one solo and 10 assisted blocks in season-opener at Concordia-St. Paul (Sept. 4)…also tallied double digit blocks against Florida Tech with two solo and eight assisted in a three-set match…hit .324 for the season to rank second on the team…290 total kills was good enough for third…had seven matches with 10 or more kills including three in the postseason…had 14 kills in the South Region Championship match against Florida Southern (Dec. 5)…matched a season-high with 17 kills against Wayne State (Dec. 11) in the NCAA semifinals, hitting .577 in the match…hit .412 in the six matches of the NCAA tourney with 61 kills…also recorded 17 kills against Florida Tech (Nov. 21) to go along with seven blocks…AVCA All-South Region…D2CCA All-South Region 2nd Team… NCAA South Region All-Tournament Team…AVCA All-American 3rd Team… NCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team.
2014 (Freshman)
Started in 26 of 27 games as a true freshman and made a tremendous impact as a middle blocker right away... Missed part of the season due to an injury but still finished first on the team in total blocks with 102 on the year... Earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament team thanks to a performance that included a combined 44 kills and 16 total blocks in the three-game tournament... Had 199 kills for the season, good for fifth on the team... Her 12 solo blocks were tops on the team, as well as her 90 block assists... Finished the year with seven double-digit kill efforts, including a season high of 17 against West Florida in the opening round of the NCAA South Regional Tournament on November 20th... Also had a season-best eight blocks in the regional win over UWF... Posted three straight matches of 10+ kills to end the season.
HIGH SCHOOL
Competed in volleyball for Audrey Holtz and Casey Ragland at Bartram Trail High School where she was a captain for the Bears... Was named the St. Augustine Record volleyball Player of the Year as well as the AVCA Player of the Year in 2014... Chosen to the 6A All-Star Game team where she was named the 2014 MVP... Named to the Florida Times Union First Team in 2013 and 2014 as well as the St. Augustine Record First Team in 2012, 2013, and 2014... Helped BTHS to the regional championship in 2013.
