Strother joins the Sailfish volleyball program for the 2017 season after a standout career at Austin Peay University in Tennessee. The Richmond, Texas native spent four years with the Governers from 2012-15 where she played in 98 matches including all 32 as a senior.
She collected over 500 kills during her career and tallied 474 digs during her time in Clarksville and also excelled in the classroom. She was twice named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 academic years while also landing on the President's List in the Fall of 2015. She was selected to the Dean's List six times and landed on the AD's Honor Roll eight semesters.
Strother spent time as a coach for the New South Volleyball Club as well as assisting with camps at both Austin Peay and at Palm Beach Atlantic.
Prior to landing at PBA she spent the last year in a discipleship program called The Forge at Pine Cove Christian Camps in Tyler, Texas where she lived in community with 27 19-25 year olds in order to discover God-given design through discipleship, adventure, serving guests and interactive classroom experiences.
She graduated with a degree in sociology and minored in health, occupational health psychology and is currently pursuing a master's in mental health counseling.
