Favorite Major League Baseball team is the Miami Marlins... Favorite athlete is Derek Jeter... Favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13... Son of Justo and Lazara Hernandez... Has two siblings: Gregory and Nicholas. 

2019 (Senior)
Made 12 appearances on the season, all out of the Sailfish bullpen … posted a 2.53 ERA in 10.2 innings pitched … struck out 14 while walking seven and held opponents to a .184 average … pitched two innings without allowing an earned run against No. 16 Wilmington on March 6 … pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts against Nova Southeastern on April 2.

2018 (Junior)
Justin made 12 appearances for the Sailfish in 2018, all out of the bullpen … threw 9.2 innings and posted a 9.31 ERA, while striking out 11 batters … began his season with seven scoreless outings before giving up his first run of the season to Nova Southeastern on March 24.

2017 (Sophomore)
Justin spent the season as a bullpen pitcher for the Sailfish, making 10 appearances and two spot starts along the way … finished the season with a 6.35 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 11.1 innings pitched … struck out three batters twice; against Embry-Riddle on February 11 and against Eckerd College on April 13.

2016 (Freshman)
Pitched seven times out of the bullpen…tossed six innings overall with nine strikeouts…struck out two in each of his final three appearances of the season over 2.2 innings…didn’t allow a run during his first two appearances, a shutout inning against West Alabama (2/6) and another shutout inning against Colorado Christian (2/8).

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from American Heritage High School where he pitched and played first base for coach Bruce Aven... pitched in the Power showcase at Marlins Park... graduated with a 4.00 GPA.
