De Silva joined the Sailfish men's and women's coaching staff for the 2020-21 season. De Silva, a Sao Leopoldo, Brazil native, previously spent four at PBA as a member of the tennis team from 2016-2019.
Over his four year playing career with the Sailfish, de Silva made an appearance at every singles positions starting at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions his freshman year before regularly appearing as the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 positions his senior year. He was a member of the No. 1 doubles position his senior year as well as being nationally ranked during his junior year. He ended his playing career 39-29 singles record and 44-26 in doubles.
