Pato joins the tennis coaching staff after playing at PBA for his junior and senior years.
During his playing career, Zarazua played at the No. 1 singles role. His junior year he finished with a 7-13 record on the year, including a conference win over Eckerd. He finished at the No. 1 doubles spot with an 11-8 record, beating ranked opponents #33 Flagler, #50 Chowan, #28 Rollins College and #48 Florida Tech.
His senior year he earned a three set win over nationally ranked No. 30 Juan Ortiz Couder from Embry-Riddle and posted wins over nationally ranked opponents from Rollins and Florida Southern in straight sets. Pato was 17-8 in doubles action including a 7-1 mark in SSC play, going 16-5 when paired with Pietro de Silva including a win over nationally ranked No. 9 duo from Embry-Riddle. He also earned national rankings in final nine weeks in singles and finished the year No. 36.
