Palm Beach Atlantic University Athletics

Matt Lantz joins the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s tennis coaching staff this season as a graduate assistant on the staff of head coach Chi Ly.

A former standout at NCCAA institution Spring Arbor University, Lantz will assist Ly in the day-to-day operations of the men’s tennis team while he is enrolled in the Psychology graduate program at PBA.

During his time at Spring Arbor, which is located in Michigan, Lantz quickly developed himself into one of the top players in the region. Competing in the Mid-Central Conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Lantz was a three-time NCCAA All-American during his time on the court with the Cougars.

He rose as high as #9 ranked in the country in doubles while holding down a top spot of #31 in singles in the NAIA.

While at SAU, Lantz was named a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention as well as a Scholar-Athlete as he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
