Laura Valkova joins the Palm Beach Atlantic coaching staff for her first year as a graduate assistant in 2017-18.
Valkova joins the Sailfish after a four-year career at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. While with the Jaguars she posted a 79-36 overall singles record and a 77-24 doubles record. She played primarily at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles, posting a career 36-13 record at No. 1 doubles and a 37-9 mark at No. 2 singles.
She was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team in singles three times and once in doubles. She was also honored three times as a second team double selection. She was selected to the ITA Scholar Athlete Award winner in 2017, after her senior season.
