Palm Beach Atlantic University Athletics

Coach Felipe Bedon begins his second year in 2013-14 as the men’s and women’s tennis assistant coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

He assists head coach Chi Ly in the day-to-day operations of the tennis programs while working in practice sessions and in match preparation.

A former standout player at Taylor (Ind.) University in Upland, Ind., Bedon brings a wealth of experience as a top-level player from his native country of Ecuador. A four-time All-Conference player while suiting up for the Trojans, Bedon reached the pinnacle of his success as a senior when he was named a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American and National Christian College Athletic Association All-American.

Before playing at the collegiate ranks, Bedon was a top-20 juniors player in Ecuador, improving to a top-10 ranking for his age group in 2004.

His time in Ecuador also afforded him the opportunity to train for six years under ATP professional Ivan Endara.

Bedon is pursuing a M.B.A. at PBA.
