Gunner was brought onto the Sailfish Men's Lacrosse coaching staff in the summer of 2024. Gebelein, a Maryland native, is a Sailfish lacrosse alumni.
During his time at PBA as a player, Gebelein built quite the resume for himself. As a member of the Sailfish, Gunner was a 2x SSC Defensive Player of the Week, SSC Freshman of the Year, two-time All-SSC first team member, All-SSC second team member, the program's first Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American, the program's first and only Inside Lacrosse All-American third team member, and the team's first USILA Preseason All-American. Being an anchor for the defense in all four years at PBA, despite two COVID-19 shortened seasons, Gunner put up 230 groundballs and 117 caused turnovers, while contributing to the offense with 10 career goals.Â
Gunner graduated from PBA in 2022 with a major in business.
