Daniel Carson was named the head coach of PBA men's lacrosse in June of 2025.
In his first year with the Sailfish, they went 6-10, with a .375 winning percentage, third best in program history. Under his leadership the 'Fish notched a win over RV Lander at the beginning of the season. Carson also led the program to do something no one before him had been able to do, which was beat Lynn University. For the first time in program history the 'Fish had beaten Lynn in conference play 12-10.
Carson comes to PBA after four years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Messiah University in Pennsylvania. His tenure is highlighted by a 2024 season where the team went 12-6, including a 5-2 record in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Overall, he made it to the conference tournament, finishing in the top four in the league in three of his four seasons.
Before Messiah, Carson served as the Associate head coach and offensive coordinator at the Air Force Academy. In four seasons, Air Force won the Southern Conference regular season championship two times and was crowned SoCon tournament champions in 2017. The squad posted an overall record of 31-24 with a 16-6 record in the conference.
Carson brings over a decade of coaching experience, including stops at Princeton, Richmond, Grove City College, and Ohio Valley University. He graduated from Marymount University in 2012, playing as a 4-year starter and totaling 63 goals and 93 points for the men’s lacrosse team. He also competed on the Marymount swim team for three years. After graduation, Carson attended Ohio Valley where he served as a Graduate Assistant for the men's lacrosse team while earning his Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
