Denzel Redd joined the Sailfish as a student-assistant during the 2020-21 season. He is a true freshman who comes to PBA from Cape Coral, Florida. The son of James and Liliana Redd, he had a standout basketball career at the prestigious Bishop Verot High School, where he played for coaching legend Matt Herting. Redd averaged 17 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in the 2019-20 season and was named a SWFL All-Star, receiving Honorable Mention All-Area honors. He is in the record books at Bishop Verot with 444 career rebounds, which is fifth most all-time. Redd is currently majoring in Exercise Science.
