Jackson Capel joined the Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball coaching staff in the fall of 2020. Capel joins PBA after spending two years as the assistant coach at IU East in the NAIA.
Capel was an NAIA All-American at Evangel University in Springifeld, Mo. finishing his career with Evangel as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,337 points. Following his career at Evangel, Capel had a successful eight-year career in Europe. Capel played in professional leagues in Germany, Switzerland and Spain from 2009 through 2017. He was part of a championship team in the Spanish LEB Gold league in 2016-17. He was named to the Eurobasket.com all-league teams in Germany and Switzerland.
Capel is a native of the Cincinnati area. He scored more than 2,700 career points during his high school career on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River at Heritage Academy. He began his coaching career during the 2017-18 season at Cincinnati Christian University, a member of the River States Conference.
