Bobby Hain

Bio Divider - PBA Highlights

Bobby Hain was named as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball program during the summer of 2025. Hain brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Sailfish bench as the team looks to build on its momentum heading into the upcoming season.

I am beyond excited and grateful to join Coach Rose’s staff at Palm Beach Atlantic University,” Hain said. I would also like to thank Athletic Director Courtney Lovely Evans for this opportunity. I am thrilled to be back in Palm Beach County. It is a community that is very special to me and has helped shape me. I look forward to working with our student athletes, growing under our leadership and helping the program continue to succeed both on and off the court.”

“We are so excited to welcome Bobby to PBA and back to Palm Beach County!” said head coach Cole Rose. “He comes to us with already a ton of good experience in his young career as a coach and is known to be a tireless recruiter and extremely hard worker. He will make an immediate impact on both sides of the ball and brings a wealth of knowledge to the player development aspect of the job. His attitude makes him an excellent fit for Palm Beach Atlantic University. We’re thrilled to have him.”

Bio Divider - Prior to PBA

A former standout at Youngstown State University, Hain was one of the most productive forwards in program history. He finished his career ranked among the school’s all-time leaders in both scoring, field goal percentage, and rebounding.

Following his collegiate career, Hain played professionally overseas in Fribourg Switzerland for Villars Basket. Hain led Villars to their first semifinal berth and earned Euro Basket 2nd team All - Switzerland honors. His international experience adds a valuable layer of perspective to PBA’s coaching staff, particularly in developing post players and preparing student-athletes for the next level.

Prior to joining PBA, Hain served as an assistant coach last season at NAIA Warner University following a six-year stint as the Associate Head Coach and Assistant Coach at Lake Erie College. In his time at Lake Erie, he had a strong hand in the development of award-winning Storm athletes and helped the Storm set the first DII-era program record in wins during the 2018-19 season.
Hain is no stranger to the Palm Beach County area. He is a graduate of Jupiter High School where he averaged 19.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game his senior season. He was a first-team all-conference and all-area selection.
