Favorite verse is Psalms 144:1-2... Favorite teams are the Florida Marlins and the Univeresity of Florida... Favorite athletes are Dan Uggla and David Wright... Son of Casey and Kathy Gunther... Has three siblings: Josh, Barry, and Casey.

2011 (Redshirt Junior)
Battled a nagging injury for the entire season while producing as a regular member of the everyday lineup at first-base, second-base, and designated hitter... Appeared in 50 total games while making 47 starts on the season... Finished with a .295 batting average while totaling 166 at-bats... Finished with 49 total hits including 11 doubles, one triple, and two homeruns... His 11 doubles were second on the team... Scored 24 runs while driving in 22 runs... Walked 21 times to finish second on the club while stealing 4-of-6 bases... Produced 12 multi-hit games including three hits in a game versus Barry University on March 22nd, 2011... Drove in a season high of three runs twice including a 2-for-2 performance with four runs scored and three walks against Ave Maria University on February 7th, 2011.

Attended Westminster Academy where he competed in baseball for coaches Rich Hoffman and Gregg Mucerino... Named a two-time All-County selection... Honored as an All-State selection... Named the Player of the Year for Class 1A-4A... Named a Louisville Sluggler All-American.
