Favorite athlete is Derek Jeter... Son of Frank and Melanie Castro... Has twosiblings: Shane and Cole.

2014 (Senior)
Became the starting catcher for the Sailfish after serving as the backup his junior season, starting in 40 contests... Hit .318 on the season with 10 doubles, four home runs and 22 runs batted in... Was named to the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) First Team... Collected 14 multi-hit games on the season, including three three-hit games... His four home runs was good for second on the team... Drove in two or more runs on six different occasions... Doubled twice in three separate games on the season... Went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored against Lynn University on April 1st... Had a 3-for-4 performance against Philadelphia University in which he homered, doubled, and scored three runs.

2013 (Junior)
Spent the year as the primary backup behind the plate... Started in 26 games, all as the catcher... Finished the year with a .284 batting average, six doubles and 13 runs scored... Also went 2-for-2 in stolen bases on the season... Threw out 33% of base runners attempting to steal... Had seven multi-hit games, including a three hit performance against St. Thomas University on March 9th... Had six multi-RBI games, including three ribbees in the regular season finale against Barry University on May 4th.

PREVIOUS COLLEGE
Attended Indian River State College where was a Dean's List student as he earned an Associates' Degree.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Coral Reef High School where he played for coaches Dave Bisceglia, Leon Holiday and Frank Castro... Was a three year varsity letterman for the Barracuda... Honored with All-State Honorable Mention in his senior year.
