PERSONAL
Born June 9th, 1995... Majoring in Human Performance and Sport with a minor in Exercise Science... Aspires to become a personal trainer... Chose PBA because of the opportunity to play baseball... Favorite team is the New York Mets... Favorite athlete is David Wright... Favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11... Son of Mark and Patricia Johnson... Has two siblings: Phelan and Calvin.

2018 (Senior)
Johnson was the starting catcher for the Sailfish, making 35 starts and playing in 38 games during his final season … batted .303 while hitting 10 doubles, two triples, and one home run … scored 27 runs and driving in 27 more … hit his first career home run, a grand slam, against Florida Tech on April 27 in Melbourne, Fla. … had five three-hit games on the season, including a 3-for-5 showing on opening night against No. 18 Catawba in a Sailfish win.

2017 (Junior)

Split the season with Marcos Perez at the team’s starting catcher, starting 27 games behind the plate … batted .268 on the year … threw out 37 percent (11 of 30) of runners stealing on the year, while picking off four more … had a three-hit game on Feb. 17 against Flagler College … went 2-for-5 with three RBIs on April 8 against Nova Southeastern University.

2016 (Sophomore)
Played in 33 games, making 31 starts…made 26 starts behind the plate with five others coming as a DH…team was 13-13 when he started as catcher and 8-15 when he didn’t…had 10 multi-hit games with three of those three-hit games…finished the year hitting .308 with 33 hits and 11 RBIs…19 walks was third on the team and finished with an on-base percentage of .435, tops on the team.

2015 (Freshman)
Turned in a stellar rookie campaign as PBA's primary backstop, starting in 27 of the 34 games he saw action in... Worked through a midseason injury to finish the season with a .287 batting average and 16 RBI... Threw out nearly 60% of would-be base stealers during the year... Had seven multi-hit performances on the year and a seven game hitting streak to finish the season... Picked up his first collegiate hit against the University of West Alabama on February 6th... Turned in his first multi-hit game against Barry University on February 10th... Finished the season on a high note, notching at least one hit in every game at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series... Went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in an elimination game against Toccoa Falls on May 22nd... Also went 2-for-3 with a walk, double and two RBI against Central Baptist in the NCCAA World Series opener on May 20th.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played high school baseball at nearby King's Academy for head coach Doug Magaw... Was named to both the All-District and All-County teams as a senior... Member of the A/B Honor Roll.
