2019 (Senior)
Friday night starter for the Sailfish in 2019, making 14 starts on the season and posting a 6-4 record … threw 77.1 innings on the season while posting a 3.49 ERA and limiting opponents to a .219 average … struck out 71 batters while walking just 26 … named SSC Pitcher of the Week after a seven shutout inning performance against Saint Leo, allowing just one hit and picking up a win … Picked up a win over Tampa on April 12, pitching six innings and allowing three runs … named to All-SSC Second Team … finishes his PBA career with 176 strikeouts, which is good for second in PBA’s Division II era.
2018 (Junior)
Mitchell had a stellar junior season on the mound for the Sailfish, throwing 47.2 innings and posting a 2.27 ERA … began his season out of the bullpen, but transitioned to the weekend rotation midway through the season … posted a 4-1 record on the year while striking out 46 batters and held opponents to a .205 batting average … struck out seven in a 2.2 inning relief appearance against Embry-Riddle on March 3 … threw 6.1 innings of two-hit, two-run baseball to beat No. 2 ranked Florida Southern on April 20, and won SSC Pitcher of the Week for the start.
2017 (Sophomore)
Mitchell began the season as a starter, then moved to a bullpen role … struggled early in his sophomore season, but posted a 2.45 ERA in his last seven outings out of the bullpen … threw four innings out of the bullpen on April 11 in a 4-2 win over nationally ranked Nova Southeastern, allowing no runs and just two hits … threw three scoreless innings out of the bullpen on April 18 at St. Thomas, striking out four batters.
2016 (Freshman)
Appeared in 12 games on the season, working into the weekend rotation by April…made first appearance against Embry-Riddle (1/30), walking two and striking out one in one scoreless inning…made his first start against Florid Tech (4/5)…had best outing of the year in season’s final start, May 6 against Rollins…struck out nine in six innings allowing just four hits and a run…earned first career win against the Tars in the 8-3 victory…finished the season with 34.1 innings and a 4.19 ERA…struck out 36.
