Born September 4th, 1995... Majoring in Human Performance and Sport with minors in Chemistry and Exercise Science... Aspires to become a personal trainer or a nutritionist... Chose PBA because to play baseball... Favorite team is the Miami Marlins... Favorite athlete is Giancarlo Stanton... Favorite verse is Jeremiah 33:3... Son of Kevin and Barri Summey... Has one sister: Katie.

2018 (Senior)
Jake batted lead-off and played right field in all 50 games for the Sailfish in his senior season … batted .279 on the year and was second on the team with his 60 hits … added 11 doubles, three triples, and three home runs on the year … had 13 multiple-hit games on the season including three four-hit games and a five-hit game … had four-hit games against Saint Leo, Flagler, and Lynn and a five-hit game against Spring Hill … finishes his career with 195 career hits in his 184 games played.

2017 (Junior)

Jake started 47 games in the outfield for the Sailfish, and had a team-high .366 batting average … didn’t make an error on the season and had a team-high five outfield assists … had 13 doubles and two triples on the season, and finished with 36 RBIs … stole 14 bases on the season, the second highest mark on the team … had a four-hit game on Feb. 11 against Embry-Riddle in a 17-15 loss … went 9-for-13 in a weekend series against Lynn University, driving in five runs and stealing four bases … had both Sailfish walk-off hits on the season; against Tusculum and St. Edwards … had back-to-back three-hit games against Saint Leo on Feb. 24-25.

2016 (Sophomore)
Made appearances in 45 games with 41 starts…he made 17 starts in left field and 21 in center field with the other three in right field…batted .253 with 40 hits, seven doubles, one triple and one home run…drove in 19 runs and scored a team-leading 37 runs…led the team with 24 walks and 11 stolen bases…had nine multi-hit games and two three-hit games…had four hits and score three runs against Rollins (5/5)…had three hits including a homer the next day against the Tars…finished that three-game series with nine hits in 15 at-bats with five RBIs, seven runs scored and three extra-base hits

2015 (Freshman)
Worked his way from a reserve into a starting role in the outfield, playing in 41 games and making 35 starts... Finished his rookie season with a .257 batting average, .327 on-base percentage, 16 runs scored and nine steals... Also racked up 11 assists from the outfield to lead the team... Put together seven multi-hit performances on the season, including a personal best 5-for-7 day at the plate against the University of Tampa on March 21st... Turned in a 5-for-9 performance with three steals in a double header against Lynn University on April 18th... Saved one of his final games for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series when he went 2-for-3 at the plate and made two "web gem" worthy plays in the outfield that forced a tie with eventual champion Fresno Pacific University.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2014 graduate of Wellington High School where he played for coaches Scott Riddle and Evan Stermer... Was honored with a spot on the All County first-team as a senior... Also a member of the A/B Honor Roll.
