Zach Grau is entering his first season in 2011 as the pitching coach for the Palm Beach Atlantic baseball program.

A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Grau began his college baseball career as a pitcher for Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek ,Michigan.

After two solid seasons at KCC, Grau transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic in 2006 to play for the Sailfish for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. While suiting up for the Fish, Grau was a member of the PBA starting rotation as well as seeing regular time in the outfield and at first base. During the 2008 campaign Grau was selected as the NCCAA National player of the week.

A solid all-around player, Grau led the team in hits, runs scored, triples, homeruns, and runs batted in during his two-year Sailfish career while also stealing 37 bases. Grau was chosen as a NCCAA All-Region selection after his senior season.

Grau earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in December 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Education with a focus in Health and Physical Fitness.
