Born November 2nd, 1990... Majoring in Psychology... Chose PBA because of the location and the opportunities for baseball and school... Favorite sports team are the Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Hurricanes... Son of Roberto Ortiz and Leticia Laboy... Has three siblings: Bobby, Michael and Johnny.

2014 (Senior)
Battled through injuries throughout the season, but provided the Sailfish with a consistent bat and glove at second when on the diamond... Started in 23 of 26 games played and hit .322 on the campaign... Committed just four errors at second base in 118 chances... Had nine multi-hit games during the year, including two three-hit performances... Went 3-for-5 on two separate ocassions... Worked seven walks on the season and was 7-for-7 in steals... Notched a 3-for-5 performance against Northwood on February 11th, scoring a run and driving in a pair in the process... Also tallied a 3-for-5 game with two RBI and three runs scored against Pitt-Johnstown on March 12th.

2013 (Junior)
Provided a steady glove at second base and a reliable bat throughout his first season at PBA... Hit .277 with 26 runs scored and a second-best 10 stolen bases... Also was second on the team in sacrifice bunts with seven... Had eight multi-hit and six multi-run games during the campaign... Finished the final seven games of the season streaking, collecting 10 hits in 23 at-bats... Went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored against Florida Southern on March 30th... Added a 3-for-5 with a double and run driven in against Barry University on May 4th.

PREVIOUS COLLEGE
Attended Harford Community College where he earned an Associates degree in Criminal Justice... Selected to the All-Region team in both freshman and sophomore seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2010 graduate of Roman Catholic High School where he lettered four years... He earned team MVP as a freshman and was a member of the All-Catholic second team as a senior.
