Favorite sports team is the Arizona Diamondbacks... Favorite athlete is Pat Tillman... Son of Thomas Steimel... Has two older brothers, Tyler and Sean.

2014 (Senior)
Played in just 10 games on the year with nine starts before injuries derailed his season... Was highly productive in his short time on the field, tallying three doubles, a home run, and seven runs batted in on the season... Homered and drove in two runs against Delta State on February 8th... Collected two doubles in four at-bats against Northwood University on February 11th... Went 1-for-3 with an RBI in his last game of the season against St. Thomas University on March 8th.

2013 (Junior)
Added power, stability, and consistency to the Sailfish lineup as the everyday first baseman... Finished the season with a .314 average, a second-best .456 slugging percentage, a team-high 41 runs driven in, 12 doubles, and four home runs... Made only eight errors in 396 chances at first base... Collected 15 multi-hit and nine multi-RBI games... Had the only multi-home run game against Saint Leo on March 23rd... Notched a ten game hitting streak in which he went 23-for-38 (.605) at the plate, and raised his batting average from .190 to .327... Named to the All-ICAA First Team... Had seven games of three or more hits...Went 4-for-4 in back-to-back games against Saint Leo (3/23) and Florida Memorial (3/26), knocking out two doubles and two home runs while scoring seven runs and driving in 10 during that span... Went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, and four RBI against Eckerd College on April 27th.

PREVIOUS COLLEGE
Attended Central Arizona College... Member of the 2011 JUCO Division I National Runner-Up squad.

HIGH SCHOOL
Registered a successful two-sport career at Brophy College Prep where he played baseball for head coach Tom Succow... Was Honorable Mention All State in 2010 for the Broncos... Also was an All State selection in football playing under Scooter Molander.
