BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Palm Beach Atlantic women's cross country team opened its season in impressive fashion Friday, sweeping the top two individual spots and claiming the team title at the Keiser Flagship Cross Country Invitational at South County Regional Park.

The Sailfish put together a dominant team performance, led by Rebecca Geiss, who captured first place with a time of 18:00.27. Teammate Gianna Ritchie followed closely behind, finishing runner-up in 18:27.21.

PBA continued to separate itself from the field as Erin Regan crossed the finish line in fifth place at 18:50.39, while Chloe Rinzema and Adeline Dolan finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Rinzema posted a time of 19:01.21, with Dolan right behind at 19:01.82.

The Sailfish's top five runners combined for a strong 18:36.20 average, giving PBA a 25-point team score based on the five scoring finishes.

PBA's depth continued to show throughout the race. Anna Bagocius finished 11th overall in 19:06.51, while Daisy Strukplaced 16th in 19:21.03.

Rheya Ford added another strong performance for the Sailfish, finishing 23rd in 19:41.93, followed by Harper Ethridgein 34th at 20:18.27 and Nella Petersen in 40th with a time of 20:32.14.
With two runners atop the individual standings and five Sailfish inside the top 11, PBA established itself as the team to beat from the opening race of the season.

The Sailfish will look to carry the momentum from their season-opening victory into their next meet as they continue the 2026 campaign.
