The Sailfish Esports Super Smash Bros Ultimate team is looking to make history tonight, as they fight for the program's first ever championship. On April 13th, the Smash Team punched their ticket to the finals in the ECAC Division D esports conference when they beat the University of West Georgia 2-0. The team is ready to make history for their school tonight!

This comes after a perfect regular season (7-0), as well as a perfect run in the playoffs without dropping a single game. Now, after 3 playoff games, the Sailfish look to procure a perfect 11-0 season, an astounding accomplishment for the program's first season back in operation.

When asked about readiness for the game and how he felt for tonight's game, team captain Marcos Sargen, in-game name ChaotiQ, said, "I want a challenge...I don't want another free win, I want to face the best... " Eager for tonight, the team has been practicing and studying the other team non-stop since last week. This was at the recommendation of head coach, Josh Petree, who wants to glean any and all information out of the other team to give them the best possible advantage and mindset to finish strong and win.

This game will be streaming live on https://www.twitch.tv/sailfishesports starting at around 7:45 PM EST. In addition, a small watch party will be held in the lobby of Rinker Hall for any and all interested in coming out at 7:30 PM EST. Snacks and soda will be provided.
