The visiting team managed to score only once in the second quarter and once in the fourth, while Tampa's defense limited the 'Fish to just eight shots on goal.

The contest commenced with the Sailfish at a disadvantage due to an early green card against Keira Limpert, leading to a player-up goal by Tampa's Jenna Myhal at 13:57. Despite a strong ground ball effort from Skylar Splinter, the 'Fish struggled to convert opportunities, with Olivia Larges' shot hitting the crossbar and Limpert's attempt striking the post.
