Palm Beach Atlantic Falls to No. 17 Rollins 13–8

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Palm Beach Atlantic fell to No. 17 Rollins with a final score of 13–8 on Tuesday evening at the PBA Soccer Lacrosse Field. Despite the loss, the 'Fish capitalized on two player-up goals during the matchup.

The game commenced with Palm Beach Atlantic securing early possession, as Peyton Sutton consistently won draw controls. However, an initial turnover by Arianna Tribble allowed Rollins to capitalize and take the lead with a goal by Delanie Abere at 14:01. The Sailfish responded with a goal from Kaitlyn Gallagher at 9:28, leveling the score.

Palm Beach Atlantic gained momentum with Olivia Larges scoring at 4:28, assisted by Gallagher, putting the team ahead. Despite a subsequent goal from Rollins' Chloe Pierini, Annika Limpert's goal with 51 seconds remaining restored Palm Beach Atlantic's lead. The first quarter concluded with a late goal by Rollins, tying the score at 3–3.

Palm Beach Atlantic focused on defense during the second quarter, with Georgia Karns making multiple saves, including a crucial stop at 11:18 against Rollins' Jayme Weber. Despite an aggressive effort, the 'Fish faced challenges on offense, highlighted by Olivia Larges' two attempts that were saved. Rollins' Holyn Trautwein managed to score a free-position goal at 10:30, which was the only goal of the quarter. As the quarter concluded, Palm Beach Atlantic trailed 4–3.

The 'Fish faced a challenging third quarter, highlighted by Keira Limpert's goal at 12:22, which cut into Rollins' lead and briefly shifted momentum. Despite Limpert's efforts and Arianna Tribble securing draw control shortly after, Rollins responded with a series of goals, widening its advantage. The quarter ended with Palm Beach Atlantic trailing 10–4, as Rollins outscored the home team 6–1 in this frame.

In the final quarter, Palm Beach Atlantic made a notable push against Rollins with a goal by Keira Limpert at 7:52, narrowing the gap. Peyton Sutton followed up with a crucial player-up goal, assisted by Annika Limpert, at 2:15. Sutton continued her impact by scoring again at 1:00, and Olivia Larges added another goal at 0:22, showcasing a late surge. Despite Rollins' efforts, Palm Beach Atlantic ended the quarter on a strong note. The game concluded with Rollins securing a 13–8 victory over the Sailfish.

Olivia Larges led the scoring with two goals on five shots, four of which were on target. Keira Limpert also contributed significantly by netting two goals, both unassisted, from her two shots. In goal, Georgia Karns made nine saves on 31 shots faced, showcasing her defensive presence throughout the match. Annika Limpert added depth to the offense with a goal and an assist, converting both of her shot attempts.

The 'Fish end their season at home tomorrow with one final game against Florida Southern, a makeup game from the original postponed matchup which was scheduled to take place on April 8th.
