WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Sailfish (6-5, 0-2) faced a tough challenge on Saturday, falling to No. 5 Embry-Riddle (9-1, 2-0) with a score of 17-7 at the PBA Soccer Lacrosse Field. Despite the loss, the 'Fish showcased moments of offensive prowess, notching a player-up goal and three unassisted goals.
The action kicked off with Embry-Riddle taking an early lead as Natalie Jansky found the net first. The Sailfish quickly answered back, with
Keira Limpert capitalizing on a player-up opportunity at 11:11, leveling the score. This goal also marked Limpert's first assist of the season. The back-and-forth continued as Embry-Riddle's Ashley Albert, assisted by Eliana Enners, regained the lead briefly. But the 'Fish, showing their resilience, saw
Izzy King, assisted by Limpert, equalize with just 23 seconds left in the quarter, ending it tied at 2-2.
Entering the second quarter, the 'Fish kept the momentum alive.
Olivia Larges scored at 14:12, assisted by
Kaitlyn Gallagher, tying things up again. Gallagher's impressive streak of at least 2 assists in four straight games continued. Although Embry-Riddle responded,
