WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic baseball team took charge on Tuesday night, sailing to an 8-2 victory over Nova Southeastern.
Trey Miranda started things off with a leadoff hit, setting the stage for PBA's nine-hit, seven-RBI showcase. The 'Fish pitching staff performed well, giving up just six hits while fanning 11. Nova Southeastern managed to scratch across runs in the sixth and ninth innings, but they never truly threatened the Sailfish' lead.

Alex Jacobs had his first career hit and
Michael Schettino singled, Miranda walked to load the bases, and then
Finley Holmes delivered with a single.
Ian Pennington followed up by driving in two more with a single up the middle, pushing the 'Fish ahead 4-0 and setting the pace for the contest.
PBA's offense thrived on seizing opportunities and taking advantage of free passes.
Jake McNamara kicked things off in the first with a double, eventually scoring on an error. In the fifth, Pennington launched a solo homer to deep right field. Holmes added an infield single in the sixth, driving in another run and showcasing his speed by stealing second and advancing to third on a throwing error, keeping the pressure on Nova Southeastern's defense.
The eighth inning saw another two-run single from Pennington, icing the game for the Sailfish.Â
Elijah Budiac got the start for PBA, tossing 3 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball while striking out two.
A.J. Prendergast followed with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, surrendering just one hit and striking out two without giving up any walks.
